If you are looking for a veterinary university in the United States of America to enroll, but you have no idea where to start, we’ve got your back! We composed a list of all veterinary universities in the USA you can study at.

Auburn University

This is a public university located in Auburn, Alabama. It was founded in 1856 and counts about 23,000 undergraduate students, which makes it the second largest university in the country. The College of Veterinary Medicine was established in 1907 and offers study programs in Anatomy, Physiology and Pharmacology, Clinical Sciences, and Pathobiology.

Colorado State University (College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences)

This public university was established in 1870 and it’s located in Fort Collins, Colorado. The College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences offers the No. 3 ranked veterinary medicine program in the nation, as well as, the largest research program of any college of veterinary medicine in the world.

Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine

This college of veterinary medicine was established in 1894 and it’s located in Ithaca, New York. This college is one of only three veterinary colleges in the Northeastern United States and it’s consistently ranked the best veterinary college in the nation.

Iowa State University

Founded in 1879, this university is one of the oldest veterinary colleges in the USA. It was the first state veterinary college in the States and features a new veterinary medical center, which was built onto a massive veterinary medical center and teaching facility.

Kansas State University

This public research university is located in Manhattan, Kansas. Kansas State University was founded in 1863. It consists of nine colleges, including the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Lincoln Memorial University

This private liberal arts college was established in 1897 and it’s located in Harrogate, Tennessee. College of Veterinary Medicine is located 12 miles from Harrogate in Ewing, Virginia and offers first-hand experience with a wide variety of species.

Louisiana State University

This public research university was established in 1860 and can be found in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It consists of several schools and colleges, among which is the School of Veterinary Medicine.

Michigan State University

This veterinary college was established in 1910 and it’s the only veterinary college in Michigan. The college also features the Michigan State University Veterinary Center, which provides veterinary medical services in 18 specialty clinics.

Midwestern University

This private graduate medical and professional school is 119 years old. It has two campuses, in Downers Grove, Illinois and Glendale, Arizona. The College of Veterinary Medicine was established in 2012 and it’s the only veterinary medical school in the state of Arizona.

Mississippi State University

This public land-grant research university was founded in 1878 and it consists of 12 colleges and schools. The College of Veterinary Medicine started working in 1977 and it’s considered as the largest veterinary school under one roof in the USA.
