The Tajik Agrarian University named after Shirinsho Shotemur was called the Tajik Agrarian University and it was renamed in 2009. It comprises of nine faculties, including agronomical, agrobusiness, zoo- engineering, veterinary, economic, horticulture and biotechnology of agriculture, mechanization of agriculture and hydromeliorative.
